1DIY gas vapor canisterthe engine ran for about an hour and a half using nothing but fuel vapors, drawn through a canister setup instead of liquid fuelthe fuel's color seemed to change to more yellowish after the run, which the narrator speculates could be from oxygenation or air still trapped in the fuel from the bubbling actionengine run for 27.5 minutes on one pint of fuel through the vapor setup, then the same measured amount of fuel was set up to be run straight (liquid) through the engine to compare run timenot stated numerically in the transcript; the narration ends with the overall verdict rather than a specific liquid-fuel runtime figure

How it was tested

  • whether a small engine can run purely on fuel vapors drawn through a canister instead of liquid fuel
  • comparative fuel economy: engine runtime on a measured one pint of fuel via the vapor setup versus the same measured amount run as straight liquid fuel

I was really surprised though that I didn't get that much better fuel economy but as far as claims of saving four hundred to five hundred percent on the fuel I just don't see that happening.
